Vision Camp Brings Hope to Hundreds in Mukono

he Lions Club of Mukono Host, in partnership with Herona Hospital Kisoga, successfully conducted a two-day Vision Camp at Kyaggwe Saza Grounds, Mukono, offering free eye care services to the community. The event was filled with compassion, dedication, and impactful service — truly embodying our motto, “We Serve.”

What We Did

The camp provided a wide range of services:

• Eye Screening: Detecting vision problems, cataracts, glaucoma, and other eye diseases.
• Treatment: Many patients received free medication for various eye conditions.
• Free Reading Glasses: Distributed to those diagnosed with presbyopia.
• Surgical Bookings:
  • 30+ patients booked for Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS).
  • Patients with glaucoma scheduled for trabeculectomy at Herona Hospital.
